Friday 13th December 2024 was such an amazing day.
I’m excited to share my experience from the networking session I attended today in London as part of ‘The Enjoyable Life Series,’ with Yetunde Hofmann.
Dr. Yeyenta Osasu, Ejenavi and I got there ready to be transformed. The atmosphere was electric as we connected with an incredible group of individuals excelling in their Leaderhsip roles. It was a fantastic opportunity to broaden our professional network and learn from some of the best in the industry.
One key takeaway from the event is that to truly advance in your career, you must elevate your networking game. Engaging with others and building meaningful connections is essential for growth.
The stories shared during the session were deeply moving. We laughed, we shed tears, and we celebrated each other’s journeys. At one point, we even danced away our worries—such a wonderful way to let loose and embrace the joy of connection!
I would like to share some nuggets from the sessions.
- Beyond all these titles, we are all just ordinary people.
- The sun always rises and sets. Your problems will end.
- Learn from your downs in life.
- We need to be more empathetic and show more compassion to those around us.
- Never stop learning
- Love people
- Love yourself
- Treat people the way they want to be treated
- Give back. Not just money but also your time.
- Try and find enjoyment in what you do at work.
- Good people just don’t turn off, there is a reason. Ask why and help them get themselves back.
- When you’re going through challenges, you don’t realise you’re building yourself.
- Find your purpose, it matters. Let it guide you.
- Adversity builds resilience, you will pull through.
- Leave a legacy.
- Don’t waste the potential you could have been.
- Your beginning does not have to determine your end.
